Owner and barbeque expert Pedro Quito and the family opened Cities Barbecue in the spring of 2005, with a vision of creating  in Santa Barbara ultimate barbeque experience. Trained in the fine art of low and slow smoking at the age of ten years, Pedro has spent his life creating the word's best barbeque. Pedro brings his love and passion to every dish he creates. Pedro started his career as helping his uncle at the family restaurant, Lupes BBQ in Mexico.

In 1988, Pedro moved from his hometown. He married his high school sweetheart and started a family. After moving to Santa Barbara, Pedro noticed that there was no real barbeque to be found anywhere in Santa Barbara. Pedro was inspired to bring his artistry to Santa Barbara.

Pedro opened the doors of Cities Barbecue in the spring of 2005. Before he created his first masterpiece, he vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of patience, passion and love. Critics have been raving ever since.
